China's largest natural geological park opens

According to Chongqing Municipal Land and Housing Administration Bureau on Jan. 17, the Yangtze River Three Gorges (Chongqing) National Geological Park has officially opened.

The park, whirift goldch was approved by the Ministry of Land and Resources in 2004, is the largest natural geological park in China and crosses Chongqing and Hubei Province. The partial museum in Chongqing is divided into three sections and occupies an area of 12,500 square kilometers.

It contains vestiges of ancient creatures and traces of geological disasters. Many other famous domestic scenic spots are also located in the area, including Qutang Gorge, Wu Gorge, Daxi Cultural Heritage, and the small Three Gorges.

Chongqing now has a total of six geological parks due to its rich geological resources. In addition, the Yangtze River Three Gorges (Chongqing) National Geological Park is the fourth national geological park open to the public.
